Fumio Harashima and James C. Hung. The Best Paper Award for Emerging Technologies has been named after Prof. Fumio Harashima, a distinguished scholar in the areas of industrial automation and emerging technologies to include micromachines, nanotechnology and nechatronics.

The Best Paper Award for Factory Automation has been named after Prof. James C. Hung, a distinguished scholar in the areas of industrial electronics, industrial and factory automation.

Both awards will be presented to the best selected papers on annual basis at the International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation. Both carry a financial award.
